Top Posts of 2014

The past year was a big year for this blog. It was the first year I really decided to take Chris Blattman and Marc Bellemare’s advice and commit to posting on a semi-regular basis. Topics have stretched from my own experiences working as a researcher in Kenya to trolling the development economics beat to starting graduate school. Here are the top five viewed posts of the past year.

1. A Week in Rewind: “The Great Aid Debate’

2. How [not] to Write About Africa

3. “Mission Trip” Syllabus (Still waiting for someone to take me up on this)

4. Books on Global Development

5. The “Good” of Voluntourism

Honorable mention (because it is my favorite of the year): “Even Nothing is Something”
